Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort Koh Samui ★★★

Location fantastic if you enjoy quiet as last resort on south end of Chaweng Beach. 30mins walk to central Chaweng or 10mins via grab / songthaew. Close locally (5-10 mins walk) to pharmacies, shops and bars/nice restaurants and cafes with variety of choice. We stayed in sea view bungalows and were great except also overlooked the pool area which was sometimes noisy at night despite closing at 8pm.

Facilities were dated in room and around resort. Needs updating. Sea view bungalows have lovely views of the sea and beach resort but also overlooked the pool area so was sometimes noisy. No comfortable seating in balcony area except hard wooden chairs with thin cushions. Facilities generally need updating.

Very friendly staff, easy check-in. Nice room. 2 pools. Pool by the sea is nice to relax and listen to the waves, try a hammock and a drink from the pool bar. There is a small shop across from reception for water etc. two massage shops (I liked the ladies in pink). You can rent mopeds here (I don't recommend using moped, too many accidents, a sober man lost his finger while I was there!) Just use the local communal red bus/vans (about 100bht to Chewang) or rent a jeep if there are a few of you ! Next to the bike rental you can get Laundry done at 50bht per kilo of clothes, great value. There are a couple of places to eat on site, all are good food and good value. Plus just on the main road you have more food options and a large Chemist. Just past the chemist on the left is a nice family bar with great value drinks and a good atmosphere with friendly staff, the rotti man will pull up so you can buy a ???? pancake! And you can have a drink while you flag down a van to town. Really good tattoo artist right by the entrance to the hotel, if that's your thing. There is also a taxi hire next to the hotel, an option for going back to the airport without hassle. Entry direct onto the beach by the pool after 20 meter walk to the left you can swim, or you can walk along the sand for miles.. enjoy

Note, only one tide per day here ! So when the tide is in it is in for 12 hours. A quiet location right at the end of the beach, great if you like quiet !

Friendly Staff and nice room.

Room was clean and pool was very nice. Friendly staff very easily facilitated scooter rental.

Only a small thing, there was a window into room from hallway and light shone through into room at night.

The room and facilities are clean and tidy the linens and space were lovely. The pool and surrounds were very nice and the beach was kept clean & tidy.

The mattress was awful, it was hard, lumpy and very uncomfortable.

Nice rooms, the staff were sweet and helpful, great location, we will definitely be back.

Water flow was weak, and hot water comes and go. They didn’t have enough towels sometimes.

I stayed in a Bungalow near the pool. Clean and quiet. The room was cleaned daily and very clean. Nice size room and very close to the pool and the beach.

The bed mattress was very hard. I like a firm bed mattress but this felt like it was only 5 inches thick. The TV was a bit hard to use and only had Thai and Indian or Chinese channels that I remember. Because it was difficult to turn on and make work I did not watch it much at night when I returned to the room.

Perfekt View from balcony over the whole Chaweng beach Areal! Pretty silent because at end of the beach .

My booking was with out breakfast. Location quiet good for the people who likes a quiet area and away from the crowds.

The room little bit small.

The staff did everything and a bit more to ensure I had everything I needed! In the middle of covid, there are very few tourists and I also was the only one at the resort. Nevertheless I was well taken care of. Would recommend :)

Great staff

Nice placement to the beach. Restaurants etc nearby. Reception staff kindly upgraded us when they saw how disappointed we were with our room and the lift was not working. We were moved to a pool access room which was great in theory but everyone can see straight into the room from reception and the lighting was so poor if you closed the curtains you could not see in the room.

Currently no restaurant , undergoing renovations ,breakfast is in the open beachfront . No real opportunity to sit and see other guests. Pool bar has no atmosphere or attendance at times. Reception staff member was abrupt on checkout and yelled when we questioned signing twice for our credit card payment . We felt that the facility was misrepresented on the booking sites. Beach area with seating had dirty lounge chairs and covers infested with insects.

Bed was large and soft. View from room was very good, we had both sea view as well as pool view, staff cleaned room everyday and changed towels.

The swimming pool was small, the cutlery at room was bit old. Paint was peeling off the wall. The hot shower wasn't good, it wasn't mixing cold and hot. The walk for breakfast was long. Breakfast was ok, not great.

Excellant value and comfortable. Nice that its not on the main street. There's a Family Mart, a nice cafe and Thai restaurant walking distance away. Good massage centre nearby too.

Staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. Lovely lady on reception went above and beyond to support me while I had a family member in hospital.
